Alibaba cloud computing arm to help foreign tech firms enter China

Alibaba cloud computing arm to help foreign tech firms enter China

Through the program, technology partners will be able to leverage a variety of value-added offerings such as joint ventures, marketplace partnerships and wholesaling to capitalize on this growing market. "The AliLaunch program and Global Technology Partners Marketplace serve as the ideal platforms for making different software products accessible to businesses and organizations in China", Yu said.

SAP - As market leader in enterprise application software, SAP helps companies of all sizes and industries run better.

The platform brings together SaaS developers and various business partners on a single platform. For instance, it has partnered with SAP to provide business management solutions using its cloud environment.

The company is expecting to take advantage of increasing cloud demand in China.

The Ali Cloud, known as Aliyun in Chinese, saw an increase of 175 per cent at $165 million in the quarter ended March 2016. The design is inspired by the language of programming and represents the dream of Alibaba Cloud expanding its services from China into global markets.

AliLaunch now lists 11 technology partners from the US, Europe, Japan and Thailand.

Along with these partners, the $209.89 billion company has stated a global program named as Global Technology Partners Marketplace.

But Beijing's efforts to tighten control over internet content and implement stringent cybersecurity rules have dampened the ability of foreign cloud companies to sell their software and services online in the world's third-largest technology market.

The help offered by Alibaba would let companies overcome their problems that they face in entering the Chinese market. They would easily achieve technological capability and scalability required in the region. Earlier, a US Judge dismissed part of a lawsuit filed a year ago by Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and other luxury brands accusing Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba Group Holding Ltd of promoting the sale of counterfeit goods.

The announcement by Alibaba - which recently announced it will open its first Australian office later this year - coincides with its partnership between Alibaba Cloud and HTC to "pioneer" the development of innovative smart technologies, the release of new Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions and a new logo for its cloud business. This would enable the Chinese giant to build a virtual reality cloud ecosystem, and integrate it with its own cloud computing platform.
